Week 50 – Landscape: Symmetrical

Week50

Here’s Week 50 of the 52-week Photo Challenge. The challenge for week 50 is Landscape; specifically, Symmetrical. This is the last Landscape challenge in the 52-week Photo Challenge series. For this week’s challenge, I decided to use one of the shots that I took at Yosemite National Park during my recent visit. This is a 5 or 6 shot panorama of the Tenaya Lake. The reason I decided to use this photo was the perfect reflection of the Stately Pleasure Dome and Tenaya Peak on the waters. This to me signified symmetry.

Week 49: Portrait Dancing

Week49

Here’s Week 49 of the 52-week Photo Challenge. The challenge for week 49 is Portrait; specifically, Dancing. This is the last Portrait Challenge in the 52-week Photo Challenge series. For this week’s challenge, I decided to use one of the shots I took in Rajasthan, India. We were in a 8 or 9 day tour of Rajasthan. Sowmya and I had a fabulous time. One of the best vacations. This shot was taken in Jaisalmer; specifically, I took this on our camel safari on the Thar Desert. After riding on the camel for about 20 or 25 minutes, we came to this area of the desert where we spent some time enjoying the Sunset. It was an awesome Sunset. Not the colorful sky with clouds and burn that I am used to now but a huge orange ball dropping with the waves of desert as far as the eye can see. While we were enjoying the Sunset, the tour guide managed to get us some beer as well as some local dancers. I shot this of one of the dancers with the setting Sun in the background.

Week 48: Artistic Bokeh

Week48

Here’s Week 48 of the 52-week Photo Challenge. The challenge for week 48 is Artistic; specifically, Bokeh. This is the last Artistic Challenge in the 52-week Photo Challenge series. For this week’s challenge, I decided to use one of the shots that I took during my trip to Fort Bragg. Sowmya and I spent Memorial Day weekend camping in the beautiful Mendocino Coast. We had such a good time. We definitely are planning to do that again.

This particular shot was taken at Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. More than me, Sowmya enjoyed the garden quite a bit. I think she really enjoys Macro Photography. We spent several hours photographing and enjoying the different flowers in the park. I liked this shot a lot. I was able to get great bokeh.
