Here’s Week 20 of the 52-week Photo Challenge. The challenge for week 20 is Landscape; specifically, Nightowl. For this week’s challenge, I decided to use one of the shots from my trip to SF with a few of my Photography buddies. We headed out to SF with the goal to shoot the Golden Gate Bridge from Fort Baker. It took us a while to get to SF due to heavy traffic. When we got there, the bridge was completely fogged in. We couldn’t see either of the towers. We went up to Hawk Hill and the fog was so dense that we couldn’t even see what was in front of us. We waited there for a few minutes and then made it to Fort Baker.
I setup my tripod and I was waiting for the fog to clear so I could at least get a couple of shots with at least parts of the bridge showing. Luckily, I was able to grab a couple of shots. We then headed to Sausalito to see if we can shoot the beautiful SF Skyline. On the way, we stopped at an Italian restaurant for dinner.
After dinner, we went to the waterfront but the Skyline was not visible; not even faintly. We were walking by and saw this lit up hill. We thought we’d get a few shots of this. We then headed to Palace of Fine Arts, where we got a couple of good shots as well.
With this particular shot, I tried to use a small aperture to get starburst.
